Shhh…
Much like the Walking Dead franchise, Halloween Horror Nights (HHN) is coming back for yet another season at Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood. Unlike The Walking Dead, however, Halloween Horror Nights shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon! Universal is already teasing brand new haunted houses, scares, live shows, surprises and much more that will certainly make the news starting this September.
If you are a fan of good scares, horror movies and classic monsters, let’s just say that HHN is for you. This is often regarded as the best Halloween event in the whole world, being awarded the Golden Ticket Award year after year. I mean, let’s travel back in time to 2023 and see what Universal had in store for us, shall we? They had Haunted Houses based on Stranger Things, The Last of Us and many more, brand new shows, scare zones, new merchandise and some of the rides at Universal Studios were open to the public until 2am. It’s easy to see how this event could be a home run.

Universal certainly isn’t a quiet place during Halloween
As the sun sets, Universal Studios becomes the perfect spot for those who love good scares. Haunted Houses are placed in different corners of the theme park, and you can enter the queues for each one as if you were about to enter a normal attraction. They also offer Fast Pass options so you don’t need to spend an hour in line.
So, what kind of surprises does Universal have in store for us in 2024? Ladies and Gentlemen, they will have a Haunted House based on A Quiet Place, both in Universal Orlando and Universal Hollywood! If you have never watched it, I highly recommend this horror franchise. I think both movies are on Netflix now. It stars Emily Blunt, John Krasinski (Jim from The Office), and Cillian Murphy in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by monsters that are blind but react to sounds.
I can already see how they can make this Haunted House unique and fun for everyone. A Quiet Place mostly takes place in a rural setting, so it would be cool to see a lot of trees and indoor gardens as you walk around. Oh yeah, and I’d love to see monsters actually reacting to sounds. Do you think guests would be in complete silence as they walk around? Nah, and that’s what makes it exciting to see how the monsters would react.
I also want to see how they will create the monsters. The creatures in A Quiet Place aren’t humanoid at all, so would they try to have people in costume reacting to sound, or stick to animatronics? I’m not sure.
