Goodnight, sweet Vin Diesel prince
It’s happening, folks. What has been rumored for years and a main topic among theme park enthusiasts is finally coming true: Fast & Furious Supercharged is closing permanently at Universal Studios Hollywood.
Yes, you read that right: Vin Diesel is still alive and well at Universal Studios Florida, but his adventures on the West Coast will end on March 10, 2025.
Not that Vin Diesel will be away from California for long, no. The Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift roller coaster is set to open sometime in 2026, and fans hope this new ride will honor the franchise’s legacy better than Supercharged did. I love the idea of a roller coaster all about fast cars, and the drifting could take some inspiration from Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at Disney’s Epcot.
However, while Supercharged at California is closing for good, everyone is asking: what about the ride at Universal Studios Florida?

I doubt Supercharged will remain open in Florida much longer, as that ride is basically a meme at this point. I was there on February 10, 2025, and even staff members were cracking jokes about it during the pre-show, which actually made the experience that much more fun.
Supercharged is a notorious ride at Universal Studios, known for its outdated CGI and lackluster experience. It’s also the lowest rated ride on Famvia. Ouch. During my last visit, there were audio issues, especially when Vin Diesel jumps onto a CGI chopper and is somehow twice its size.
C’mon, Universal. Since Rip Ride Rockit is closing for good, how about closing Supercharged as well at Universal Studios Florida? You know what to do next, right? Yes, a Pokemon based land or roller coaster. You can thank me later.
