The Moon is Set to Shine Bright in 2026
The Norwegian Luna is shaping up to be an incredible cruise ship, scheduled to set sail in 2026, right after the highly anticipated debut of the Norwegian Aqua. Like the Aqua, the Luna is part of the Prima Plus Class, which is 10% larger than the Prima Class ships, such as the Norwegian Viva and Norwegian Prima.
As a sister ship to the Aqua, you can expect many similarities between the two. Both will feature the Aqua Slidecoaster, the first-ever roller coaster/waterslide hybrid at sea. The Luna will also include The Drop, a 10-story-tall dry slide that ranks among the tallest across all cruise lines. As you can see, the Luna will be a mega-resort at sea. Like the Aqua, it will replace the iconic go-kart racing tracks with the Aqua Slidecoaster, offering guests a fresh experience while creating more space for guests to move around.
As you can see, the Norwegian Luna is very similar to the Aqua. After all, they are sister ships! The Norwegian Aqua has homeports in Miami, Port Canaveral, and New York, but the Norwegian Luna's main homeport will be Miami. The Aqua Slidecoaster

Designed for two riders, it reminds me of the AquaDuck on Disney Cruise Line, but with the added thrill of being a rollercoaster, allowing for higher speeds. What excites me most is Norwegian’s claim that this will be one of the longest slides at sea. That’s great news, as most slides typically last only about a minute. If this one manages to break the two-minute mark, I’ll be thoroughly impressed.
Infinity Beach
While not technically a beach - after all, you’re on a cruise, my friend - Infinity Beach is all about relaxation. It’s located on both sides of the Norwegian Prima and features large infinity pools that offer great ocean views, plenty of luxurious lounge chairs, and spaces designed for you to unwind and enjoy.
Glow Court
The Glow Court is Norwegian Luna’s innovative new sports court, also featured on the Norwegian Aqua. It offers a variety of games, from soccer to basketball, but what makes it unique is its vibrant LED screens and visuals covering the ground and walls. It feels like stepping into the world of Tron or a Cyberpunk universe. The Glow Court also features video games that can be played on the digital screens and even transforms into a nightclub later in the evening.
