Bienvenue to one of the best - and most expensive - restaurants on the high seas.
I only studied French in high school, but I’m pretty sure the word Enchanté has several meanings. It can be a polite greeting, it can express that you’re delighted by something, or it can describe something as enchanting or magical. I’d say all these qualities apply to Enchanté, the exclusive, luxurious, and amazing restaurant onboard the Disney Wish.
Much like Palo Steakhouse - another fantastic restaurant on the Wish - Enchanté is adults-only and incurs additional fees. The main difference is that Enchanté focuses on prime French cuisine, and the price reflects that. You can choose a prix fixe six-course menu priced at $125 (add $115 for wine) or a prix fixe nine-course menu at $195 (add $140 for wine). Alternatively, you can opt for a traditional à la carte experience where you select individual dishes if you prefer to spend a bit less.
Enchanté is excellent, but as you can see, it’s also fairly expensive. It remains one of the best restaurants on any cruise line and can be incredibly romantic if you choose to bring your partner. Be sure to come hungry, as there is a lot of (delicious) food to enjoy. Also, remember to dress up, but a collared shirt and nice jeans will suffice.
One last thing: book in advance if you plan on visiting Enchanté. Famvia can help with that, of course. This is one of the restaurants aboard the Wish that requires advanced reservations, so make sure to
What we like about Enchanté
The atmosphere is great, for starters. This restaurant is all about fancy French cuisine, so expect to enter a place that could very well be Belle’s mansion. There is a lot of white everywhere, with fancy tableware and beautiful crystal chandeliers. It’s definitely a more upscale atmosphere than Palo.
The food at Enchanté is not only good but also very refined. The dishes are executed with greater precision, the recipes are more innovative, and the service is outstanding—perhaps even better than in other Disney restaurants (if that’s possible). You can enjoy starters like gnocchi and calamari, and savor some of the best steak, accompanied by sautéed spinach, grilled asparagus, and potato purée.
Enchanté offers brunch and dinner, but they also have a highly praised “Dessert Experience.” This costs $60 per guest and includes six dessert dishes, ranging from Crème Brûlée Beer Pie to Apple Tatin and Chocolate Mille-Feuille. Not familiar with these desserts? No worries - they all taste amazing, and that’s what really matters. The Brunch is also great and costs $75 per person.
What we don’t like about Enchanté
It’s pretty easy to see what is the “worst” part about Enchanté… for those that said the price, congratulations, you got that right! $125 for a six-course meal is a lot, but that’s the price you pay for the Disney experience plus great dishes. I’d say that this is a restaurant to come once during your trip, but you should definitely visit if you are planning a trip aboard the Disney Wish.
Another disadvantage is that the entire dining experience can take a long, long time. We are talking about six or nine meals, and this can easily take up to four hours! Yep, fours hours of you just sitting down and eating, which might be amazing for some, but it does take a bit away from your cruise time. It’s especially noticeable during short 3-4 night cruises where there is a lot of stuff to do around the Disney Wish.
