This is the VelociCoaster of theme park shows
Gear up, agent. Matt Damon is inviting you to the best show in Universal Orlando, and maybe the best show in Florida as well. The Bourne Stuntacular could be considered a show like the Terminator 3D on steroids, featuring amazing technology, great visuals, awesome setpieces and stunt actors performing in front of you as they also interact with the digital screen behind them. If you are in Universal Studios, come here, sit down and enjoy all the action.
If you love the Bourne movies then you will enjoy this attraction even more. I’m a fan, by the way. Matt Damon, Mini Coopers and shaky cameras make the perfect combination for an action juggernaut that consists of five movies and several novels. The good news is that The Bourne Stuntacular really captures the magic of the franchise.

The Good
Phew, where to start? If you’re wondering how this show compares, imagine the Indiana Jones show at Hollywood Studios, but ten times better. The Bourne Stuntacular features real actors, but unlike other shows, there are no props or animatronics sharing the stage. Instead, the star of the show is a massive screen made up of hundreds of 4K monitors, displaying incredibly crisp and realistic set pieces.
I’ve long advocated for rides to be updated regularly to stay modern and relevant. For instance, when you look at attractions like Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, the textures can appear blurry. In contrast, everything in The Bourne Stuntacular looks stunningly sharp, creating a highly immersive experience for the audience. This is crucial for the actors as well, as they interact seamlessly with the digital universe projected behind them, making everything look more real.
I love the setpieces in this show. If you think shows in theme parks spend a lot of time with songs or people just talking, then get ready for a lot of action. You will see performers fighting each other, car chases featuring stunt doubles and projections on a massive screen, smoke, fire, gunfights, explosions… basically everything you would see in a Jason Bourne movie, right in front of your eyes.
You'll be amazed right from the start of the show. An actor walks onto the stage as the digital screen behind him displays a crowd gathered for a fight, cheering and clapping. Suddenly, one of the figures on the screen appears to step forward, and seamlessly, the real actor steps onto the stage to fight Jason Bourne. It truly looks like he walked straight out of the screen and into the action.

There are many more set pieces, featuring everything from slow-motion effects to free falls, flames and dynamic camera angles that will make you smile. I love this show. The high-energy soundtrack from the Bourne movies perfectly complements the on-stage action. I hope to see more of this technology used in the future. Imagine a new Indiana Jones show with Indy interacting with creatures and traps on a digital screen, how amazing would that be?
The entire show lasts about twenty minutes, but it’s worth every second. I don’t see any downsides. The technology is advanced and cutting-edge, so there might be an occasional glitch, but nothing that detracts from your enjoyment.
Will Kids enjoy it?
There are no height requirements for The Bourne Stuntacular, but it may not be suitable for young kids. The loud noises, car chases, and fire effects can be scary. Additionally, the show is based on a mature, action-packed franchise, so expect fistfights and gunfights. This attraction is definitely aimed at an adult audience, and that’s perfectly fine.
Teenagers, however, will probably love it. If your teens are tired of the many Beauty and the Beast and The Little Mermaid shows at Disney, bring them here. This show is unlike anything they’ve seen before, packed with non-stop action and no dull moments. Now show them the Bourne movies, those are so good!
