Twilight Zone + Star Wars + Spider Man? Okay then!
Epic Universe is coming. Yep, everyone knows that by now, or at least everyone who visits Famvia. It’s no surprise that one of the lands will be based on the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, specifically focusing on the Ministry of Magic. As with Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios, there will be a major new ride located there, titled Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry.
Funny enough, not much is known about the ride yet. Most of what we know comes from leaked images and concept art. The concept art shows guests seated in a vehicle resembling the one from Hollywood Studios’ Tower of Terror. In fact, heavy rumors suggest that this ride will combine elements of Tower of Terror, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

I mean, just look at the image above. It really does seem like you're inside an elevator, right? However, many guests are speculating that this ride will use an updated version of the system from Forbidden Journey, meaning you'll be guided by a mechanical arm. This arm controls the vehicle, allowing it to lift and drop as it pleases. One Reddit user put it perfectly, saying, “Imagine a mini Tower of Terror car, on a Star Tours cabin motion base, rolling along on top of a Spider-Man SCOOP base.”
This all sounds great in theory. Above all else, I want a ride vehicle that’s comfortable, but just imagine something similar to Spider-Man, except your vehicle can actually move freely, rise, and drop. I don’t expect any extreme drops like Tower of Terror, but even being tilted and shaken sounds exciting. I have a feeling that Harry Potter’s spells will play a big role in making that happen.
We won’t have to wait much longer, as we can finally experience Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry when Epic Universe opens on May 22, 2025.
