Universal Orlando Resort might have adjusted the timeline for the opening of thir hotly new anticipated theme park, Epic Universe that will feature new lands and thrilling rides. It was originally slated for a grand debut in Summer 2025.
Universal recently began promoting the opening for 2025, with some promotional materials that now just say “2025”. Huh, no more Summer 2025!? While construction continues at full pace, there has been no official confirmation regarding the revised timeline.
There has been a lot of speculation and rumors abound, with some suggesting that unforeseen challenges or logistical issues might be contributing factors to any potential delays, but the truth is that construction seems to be moving pretty solid.
So why, do we think the date has been changed?
Universal is referring to this upcoming park as "coming in 2025" instead of "Summer 2025” and for companies like this, it means a lot. It’s a way to tell fans and visitors that you need to expect it later in the year. Until then, enthusiasts can only speculate and imagine the possibilities that this future park is going to give us.
We do think that the opening will de delayed. This is a multi-billion project with several rides, hotels and much more. Linking a theme park like that to a specific date is something really hard to do.
If even small indie videogames get delayed because of small bugs, can you imagine what happens behind a full theme park and the number of things that need to come together for the park to finally open its doors? Yeah... we bet on a Winter 2025 opening date, or even something like Summer 2026.
