Universal has become one of our top theme parks for many reasons. We can list and talk about the incredible and magical attractions like Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts, Despicable Me Minion Mayhem, TRANSFORMERS: The Ride-3D, The Simpsons Ride and so many more.
Or we can remember the enchanted experiences that we all have during our time there, like visiting Ollivanders, the Wand Shop located in Diagon Alley, where guests get to immerse in an interactive experience where a wand chooses their very own wizard.
Even if these are all really good reasons to have Universal on the top of our list, well, there is one that our foodie side loves the most. Yes, we are talking about the gastronomical (enchanted) delights that Universal offers around Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
Did anyone say pizza?
A yummylicious snack or quick meal is all you need after a good day of fun and exploration around Universal’s charming lands, but there have been a couple places that have truly caught our attention.
Pizza is everywhere, especially in the States with all the inspiration taken from our friends in Italy. We have created our own versions and, at Universal, this is no exception. So, allow us to introduce you to two of our top Pizza spots, which will surely improve your next trip.
Pizza Predattoria
Dinosaurs are experts in Pizza too! Located at Jurassic Park (Islands of Adventure), you can bump into this dino-inspired spot where Lunch and Dinner are offered and their specialty is, well, the Pizza.
Some of the Pizza options on their menu are:
- Meat Lovers Pizza
- Pepperoni Pizza
- Cheese Pizza, and more (they come in combos too)
They also serve salads, desserts, and refreshing beverages. It is a quick service option that can come in handy after being chasen by the many Velociraptors and T-Rexes you might find.
Red Oven Pizza Bakery
“A Slice of Stone-Baked Heaven”. That’s how Universal describes this authentic place where a crunchy yet perfectly flavored pizza can be tasted. All these thanks to the 900° sone-lined oven where pizza is baked all day. That’s truly the secret for this mouthwatering option.
You can find this restaurant when walking by Universal's CityWalk, and some of their pizza specialties are:
- Pizza Bianca: Prosciutto & Arugula, Pesto (vegetarian), Fennel Sausage, Stagione, and so much more.
- Pizza Rossa: Big Eye Pepperoni, Margherita (vegetarian), Mushroom (vegetarian), and so much more.
There are also some great salad options, desserts, and alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, which come in handy after a long day riding some of the best roller coaster in the world.
