Overview of LEGOLAND Florida

Welcome to one of the most underrated theme parks in Florida! When we think of theme parks in the Sunshine State, Disney World and Universal Studios usually come to mind first, followed by SeaWorld and Busch Gardens. But did you know there's a theme park located just 45 minutes from Orlando that's perfect for children? With over 50 attractions, shows, restaurants, and hotels, this is definitely a hidden gem waiting to be explored.
LEGOLAND Florida is perfect for families with children. Don’t expect to find thrilling attractions like Islands of Adventure’s VelociCoaster or spooky rides like Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios. Most - if not all - of the rides here are designed with kids in mind. While there are a few thrill rides with height requirements of 48 and 42 inches, they are the exception.
In addition to the main park, LEGOLAND Florida features two other parks just steps away: LEGOLAND Florida Water Park and Peppa Pig Theme Park Florida. Several ticket deals include access to the water park, but my advice is to dedicate a full day to enjoying it and another day for the main LEGOLAND experience.
As for Peppa Pig Theme Park, it’s a wonderful option for families with little ones, especially guests aged 4 and under, who can enjoy rides and attractions tailored to their age group.

Best Times of the Year to visit LEGOLAND Florida

The best time to visit LEGOLAND Florida often depends on your personal schedule. Planning a family vacation can be challenging, especially when coordinating work days off and your children’s school breaks. That said, here are some of the best - and not-so-great - times of the year to help you plan ahead:
January: A great time to visit. The weather is chilly in Florida during this month, so be sure to pack a jacket. However, the water park is likely to be closed for most of the month and in February as well. This makes January a good month if you’re planning to visit the main theme park and Peppa Pig Theme Park only. Lines are typically short as well.
March: Not the best time to visit. It’s spring break in Florida, meaning lines are much longer than usual due to the influx of families with children.
May-August: This is summer in Florida, so expect some rainy days. May and August are manageable months at LEGOLAND, with shorter lines compared to other summer months. However, I do not recommend visiting in July - it’s incredibly hot and crowded, which is a terrible combo.
September–December: These are typically excellent months to visit. While you may encounter some rainy days, crowds are at their lowest during this time. The only exceptions are Halloween and the holiday season, when the parks tend to be much busier. For the best experience, consider visiting in September, early October, before Thanksgiving, or early December.
