Be a guest in this charming and cute musical
Hollywood Studios really is the place to go for live shows, huh? You can get your daily dose of action and adrenaline with Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular, say hi to Mickey in Fantasmic and also follow Belle’s storyline in Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage. I am happy to say that all of these shows are fun and offer something different for your entire family.
As expected, Beauty and the Beast tops the list as the most family-friendly show among the ones listed above. It's quite enjoyable too, especially if you're into Broadway-style musicals that bring a classic story to life. Yep, that's what you'll experience here: the entire storyline of the first movie packed into a 30-minute presentation. From the witch cursing the spoiled prince to Gaston being, well, Gaston, and Belle entering the Beast's castle, it's all there for you to enjoy.
Dialogue between the main characters does exist, though much of it is pre-recorded. I imagine most guests come here for the music, and let me tell you, it doesn't disappoint. You will get the chance to enjoy classics like “Be Our Guest” and “Beauty and the Beast,” with actors and performers dancing their hearts out on stage. I especially like that the costumes are really well done. Unlike the Festival of the Lion King in Animal Kingdom, there aren't any puppeteers here. It's all about the actors, their beautiful costumes, and their interactions on stage.
I really like how colorful and well made the whole show is. While it may not reach the grandeur of a Broadway production, it's top-notch for a theme park attraction. Every costume looks amazing, and it also helps that the actors are really good when it comes to choreography and expressing their emotions to the audience. The stage also isn’t that big, which makes the theater feel more compact and brings guests closer to what’s happening in front of them.

The current songs featured in the show are:
- Prologue: The Enchantress
- Belle/Gaston
- Belle (Reprise)
- Be Our Guest
- Something There
- The Mob Song
- Beauty and the Beast
So, if you enjoy Broadway-like shows and a bit of Disney magic, make sure to come here. It’s perfect for the entire family. Or, you know, if you want to bring your date. That’s also a pretty good strategy.
Will Kids enjoy it?
Toddlers, young children and fans of princess Belle love this one. It’s all very colorful and well made, which is good to hold your children’s attention. Some teenagers might get a little bit bored, or think that they have grown past the age of live shows - yeah, you probably know what I am talking about. Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage doesn’t have any thrilling sequences like the Indiana Jones show, since this one here is basically a musical, so keep that in mind.
This show is also pretty long, so make sure to bring snacks and take your little ones to the restroom before coming here. You probably don’t want a bathroom break when Belle is about to incorporate Celine Dion and sing Beauty and the Beast, right?
