With a name like that, I can understand why this resort has the best pool in Disney World

Welcome to one of the classiest Disney World resorts, located just a few minutes away from Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Beach Club Resort sits shoulder to shoulder with Disney’s Yacht Club and is only a few minutes from the popular BoardWalk Inn. All three resorts are located around Crescent Lake, which also connects Epcot to Hollywood Studios. This area is mostly known as the BoardWalk and features lots of restaurants and stores. In some cases, you could call it a mini Disney Springs, as it also lets you take some amazing pictures and enjoy a nice, chill stroll with your family.

The Beach Club - like the hotels around Crescent Lake - is a deluxe hotel, meaning it comes at a premium price. We’re talking about around $615 per night, which might be steep for some. Still, it gives you access to the best pool in all of Disney World, allows you to walk to Epcot and Hollywood Studios, and also includes perks like early entry and extended evening hours at select theme parks, letting you stay in a park like Epcot for about two hours after the gates officially close.

What we like about Beach Club Resort

The best thing about Beach Club Resort is how close it actually is to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. Seriously, this hotel is only about 5–10 minutes from Epcot and gives you access to a special side entrance that lets you enter the park through the World Showcase. This is especially great because you can get to Epcot 30 minutes after it officially opens with early entry and ride Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure with almost no wait. Considering that Remy’s usual wait time is around an hour, you can check off one of Epcot’s most popular rides early on and then head to Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Getting to Hollywood Studios is a little more complicated, but it still beats driving. You can take a 20-minute walk to Hollywood Studios or hop on a complimentary boat that takes only 12 minutes to reach the park, then it’s time to ride Tower of Terror or Slinky Dog Dash.

If your party has young kids and teenagers who love Epcot and Tower of Terror, this could definitely be the perfect resort for you. To get to Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom, you can take the complimentary Disney bus or drive. Since you're staying at a Disney resort, parking at these parks is free.

The second big perk of Beach Club is Stormalong Bay, often regarded as the best pool in all of Disney World. In fact, Beach Club Resort and Yacht Club Resort share this pool, but it’s so big and majestic that it never feels too crowded. It features a sandy beach for kids, a small lazy river, a waterslide, small waterfalls, and an amazing atmosphere, with windmills and lush green vegetation surrounding it. If you or your family are big fans of pools, you won’t be disappointed with this one. Some guests even stay at this hotel just to enjoy the pool all day and forget about the theme parks.

Dining is also great at Beach Club Resort for a simple reason: you have access to all the restaurants on the Boardwalk and can even head to Epcot for dinner if you have a park ticket. There’s also a local restaurant, Cape May Café, which offers a character breakfast with Minnie Mouse and friends.

What we didn’t like about Beach Club Resort

Beach Club Resort lobby.webp

There’s not much to dislike about this hotel. Sure, we could complain about the price, but we also know that Deluxe Hotels aren’t cheap. If we had to pick a con, it would definitely be some aspects of the rooms.

Keep in mind, the rooms were updated not long ago, receiving sliding doors in the bathrooms and hardwood floors, which we’re totally fine with. But for some reason, not everything was updated.
One of those things is the TVs and desks. The desks feel somewhat outdated, and the TV stand wasn’t updated either. In fact, the TV stand looks a bit… odd? it’s still there, but the TV is actually mounted on the wall, making us question why there’s a TV stand in the first place.

Still, this is a great hotel for teenagers and adults. The Disney touch is actually minimal, with some Donald Duck artwork here and there, and the Boardwalk’s focus is primarily on restaurants and bars. Being close to Epcot and Hollywood Studios - two parks that also attract an older audience - makes it a great option for families without young children. If you love the idea of walking to these parks and enjoying a great swimming pool, there’s a good chance you’ll give the Beach Club two thumbs up.
