A new year begins

Temporarily closed attractions in January
January 8th, 2024
- Rock n' Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith (Hollywood Studios, nobody knows when it's going to open again)
- Kali River Rapids (Animal Kingdom)
January 16th, 2024
- Disney Skyliner (Hollywood Studios, until January 21st)
- Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Magic Kingdom, until January 22nd)
Why are they going to be closed?
The majority of the closures are due to refurbishment projects and maintenance. As we said, everyone is taking action on their New Year resolutions, and Disney is not an exception. They want to keep their fans’ favorite spots well-preserved and updated. Million dollar rides like roller coasters need a lot of love, and must close down once in a while so they are updated and are working properly.
