Next year comes in full swing with changes, improvements, and expansions, not only in our personal lives but at one of our favorite places in the world, the one and only Walt Disney World!
It's time to open up space for new things!
We have witnessed a glimpse of what can be expected for the near future, especially at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, where changes have started to take place for a while now. Starting with the permanent closure of the Spirit of Aloha Show, which brought us so many times to the traditional Polynesian dances, delightful live music, and the beloved tropical fest.
It was a sour-sweet goodbye, we have to admit. Even though the closure news gave us nostalgic memories and we wiped away a tear, the upcoming replacement projects fills us with joy and excitement. We cannot wait to finally see the new Disney Vacation Club wing, which will be located between Disney’s Wedding Pavilion (neighboring Gran Floridian) and the existing Polynesian Village Resort.
Is it a pyramid, cube, or rectangle?
The new Disney Vacation Villas have been under construction for a while now, and as it's expected in the early stages of construction, it has been quite challenging and a little bit hard trying to figure out the actual shape and design of the new buildings.
Now it all seems to be taking shape, and we can finally figure out the final design judging by the newly released concept art. We know, however, that there is a lot of work to be done, but there’s enough time before Disney’s project gets to the initial release date set to late 2024.
