    This special overlay won't return for Epcot's best ride

    It’s the most magical time of the year again, and of course, EPCOT wouldn’t miss it!

    The 2023 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays has already begun, and is now letting guests experience lots of new dishes, live shows, star-studded candlelight processions, great music, cool decorations, and much more!

    The Guardians are busy this Christmas

    However, there’s one missing thing… a ride layout will not be returning to the park this year, as we are talking about the amazing the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

    Disney released a special holiday overlay for the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind back in 2022, and it was the first time the ride has been changed in any way since it debuted on May of the same year. It featured a medley of holiday tunes in addition to the amazing soundtrack that usually plays during the course of the ride, with big hits like One Way or Another and Conga. 

    The special overlay, however, will not return this year. (aw)

    With or without an overlay, Cosmic Rewind is still the best

    Disney World confirmed that there’ll be no comeback for this futuristic and fantastic overlay for this year’s Festival of the Holidays, but hey, at least Cosmic Rewind is still there, and it's amazing with or without a special overlay. If I were you, I'd certainly try my spot at the Virtual and also buy an extra Lightning Lane pass just in case.

    Of course that, being at Epcot, you can also try Frozen Ever After, Spaceship Earth, Test Track, Living with the Land and Soarin’ Over California!
