As we are getting close to 2024, Disney World is making some big changes, from the way that park hopping works to announcing new shows and attractions.
In January, for example, date based tickets will no longer need Park Passes, and you can hop between parks all day. The Disney Dining Plan is also back. But if you are staying at a Disney World Hotel in January 2024, watch out and try to avoid this big mistake!
Pay attention to these dates
From January 16th to January 21st, the Skyliner at Disney World will be closed. This affects people staying at hotels that may use that particular service. You won't be able to use the Skyliner to get to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, for example.
So, how do you get there?
Instead, you'll have to take a bus provided by Disney, which is not everyone's favorite way to travel because it can get crowded. Disney, however, promised that they will have more buses avaiable during these particular dates when the Skyliner is down.
Not having access to a Skyliner makes it slighly harder (and tedious) to get to your destination. If you want to visit different hotels or have a reservation at a Skyliner hotel, you will end up losing a little bit more time. You can either take a bus from your hotel to a park, and then to another hotel, or just use a service like Uber to move around.
Even though the Skyliner will remain closed for a short time, you can now at least plan around it. Knowing about closures before your trip helps you make plans so your Disney World experience goes smoothly.
