Starting January 9th, one of the most significant changes for several Disney fans is on the horizon: the return of all day park hopping! Say goodbye to the after 2 PM restriction that has been in place since the 2020 closures.
This new brings so many benefits for visitors and people that love to visit multiple Disney parks in one day. There are no more limitations based on time or anything like that, you can now seamlessly transition between parks at any time throughout the day if you ticket gives you the park hopper option.
Want to experience Guardians of the Galaxy at Epcot in the morning then ride Space Mountain during the evening at Magic Kingdom? Sure, you can do it. This flexibility is a game changer, allowing you to tailor your Disney experience precisely to your preferences.
Speaking of Guardians of the Galaxy, the park hopping update isn't just about convenience. It opens up exciting possibilities for joining virtual queues, particularly for popular attractions like TRON: Lightcycle / Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.
Currently, obtaining a virtual queue spot for these rides involves precise timing, since there are only two time slots available: 7:00 am and 1:00 pm. The catch? For the 7:00 am slot, a park reservation is currently required, a requirement that's also bidding farewell in January for most ticket holders. As for the 1 PM slot, physical presence in the park is a must.
With the upcoming park hopping changes, the process becomes significantly easier. Imagine thi: you can head to Magic Kingdom in the morning, secure a 7:00 am virtual queue for TRON, and still have the opportunity to snag a virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT before the 2:00 pm park hopping restriction lifts.
