A lot of people tend to confuse Labadee for an island when, in reality, it's a private resort that shares a land area with the Dominican Republic.

Labadee is only available for these two cruise lines, so do not think about trying to get to the resort by any other means because you can get in trouble, and I mean it, REAL trouble. So the best option is to book a trip with a stop in Labadee with any of these two cruise lines: Royal Caribbean or Celebrity. And just to clarify, Royal Caribbean does not own the resort, they just paid for the premium access to this specific port and resort. It's not like CocoCay, which is a private island owned by that cruise line. In the end this won't matter much, since passengers are able to enjoy both CocoCay and Labadee equally.
