Huh, this looks like one of those beach clubs you see in the movies!
Welcome to the Bimini Beach Club, friends - one of the most edgy and fun private clubs you can find in the Bahamas! The closest comparisons to this slice of heaven are private islands like Royal Caribbean’s CocoCay and Disney’s Castaway Cay, but Bimini isn’t a whole island owned by Virgin Voyages. It’s called Bimini Beach Club, not Bimini Private Island, after all. But you know what? You’re also free to explore the rest of the island and immerse yourself in Bahamian culture if you wish.
Bimini Beach Club has a more trendy look to it, with six bars, two big lagoon pools and a local complimentary restaurant. Yes, you can also use your Virgin Voyages bar tab here. The beach club is more about the pool lifestyle and enjoying parties until night than actually going to the beach, even if the beach is pretty good and the water is great.
Do keep in mind that there is a short tram ride from the pier to the beach club, which takes no more than ten minutes. Trams run continuously until late into the night, so you can head back to the ship whenever you like.
What we like about Bimini Beach Club

The Beach Club is great, but do you know one thing that is nice about Bimini? The option to explore the island! You can find so much cool stuff on your own, or by renting a golf cart or booking a private excursion. The food outside the Beach Club is generally better - but you need to pay for it, of course - and this is also your chance to try the local cuisine and meet the authentic bahamian people. Guests tend to love to do this, especially since the people in Bimini are usually very friendly and nice to guests from all over the world.
The other great thing about Bimini Beach Club is the atmosphere. It captures the beach club vibe perfectly, making it ideal for those who love a good party and a chance to relax. Unlike other private islands or clubs like CocoCay and Castaway Cay, which have a more family-oriented vibe, Bimini Beach Club is adults-only. This means the focus is on music and parties that go late into the night, making it a fantastic spot if you’re looking to spend a lot of energy.

Parties and fun activities are the name of the game at Bimini. Virgin Voyages sets up games like tug-of-war, volleyball, and other beach activities, and hosts parties near a giant bonfire as the sun sets. I told you the beach party vibe is amazing here. You can enjoy roasting marshmallows and spending quality time with friends or your special someone while watching the sunset.
There are also a lot of places for those that just want to sit down and relax. There are several cabanas for you to choose from, and there are some special cabanas available to those that stay in the Rockstar Suites only. Cabanas cost around $350, and give you $100 in drinks, comfy beds, drink coolers and a few extras. Prices are great and cheaper when compared to other cruise lines, even if the cabanas are a bit smaller.
If you’re staying in a Rockstar Suite, you can enjoy the Rockstar Retreat, a private area with a bar, restrooms, and comfortable seating. It’s much easier and less crowded to order drinks here compared to dealing with the lines at the two public pools. It’s great to see Suite members receive these exclusive perks, making booking the most expensive rooms a more interesting option.
What we don’t like about Bimini Beach Club

Here’s the thing: the food at Bimini Beach Club can be hit or miss. It’s either as great as the food found on Virgin Voyages’ ships or falls short, tasting dry and underwhelming. While many guests online find the food delicious, others feel it doesn't quite hit the mark. There can be long lines as well, and it may take a while to get a drink. Beach parties can be chaotic, with a lot of people attending, so expect a crowded environment and drinks that can take 20-30 minutes.
The beach is great, but can get a little bit chilly and cold during December-May. There are also a few jellyfishes found in the water from time to time, but don’t let that scare you. The water is beautiful and crystal clear, and you can (probably) spot those weird creatures from miles away and then squash them with all your power! …just kidding, leave the jellyfish alone, folks.
