One of the best - and most popular - cabin types out there, with that special Disney touch... and price
Verandah cabins onboard Disney Cruise Line are quite similar to Oceanview rooms. How similar, you might ask? Well, some of these rooms are actually called Deluxe Oceanview Staterooms with Verandah. Instead of a window, you get a room with a verandah.
However, don’t expect a huge balcony where you can recreate that iconic Titanic scene with Leonardo DiCaprio. The verandah is fairly small, and even feels tight for just two guests, despite having two chairs and a small table. Still, it’s a cozy spot to sit and enjoy the ocean view.

What we like about Disney Cruise Line Verandah staterooms
One of the best things about verandah staterooms, a feature that’s nearly universal across all cruise lines, is that they don’t make you feel like you’re living inside a closet. They offer more space than inside rooms and are also larger than oceanview rooms, thanks to the added balcony. Many guests actually discover they’re a bit claustrophobic while sailing, and some feel like they’re inside a can of sardines in an inside room. Thankfully, verandah staterooms solve that problem.
Verandah cabins are great for parties of 4 or more guests, in case you don’t want to pay for two connected inside rooms. They offer more space, and the balcony is indeed an upgrade from the oceanview staterooms windows.
You can also connect adjacent verandah rooms if you wish. The partition between verandahs can be opened to create a larger shared balcony with access to adjoining staterooms, making it easier to move around if you are traveling with a big party or friends that are staying in the next room.
The bathroom on the Disney Wish features a glass door instead of the shower curtain found on older ships. It also has a cool light effect near the floor, which illuminates gently at night if you wake up feeling drowsy.
These rooms also offer a closet with several hangers and an additional door with plenty of shelf space for your belongings. It’s perfect for about three guests, but it might be challenging to stay organized if you’re traveling with four people - or with four people who like to pack a lot of things!
These rooms also have a convenient curtain that can separate the bed area from the couch and the balcony, providing guests with more privacy.
What we don’t about Disney Cruise Line Verandah staterooms
There’s not much to dislike about these staterooms, but they can be quite expensive. The price difference between an Oceanview cabin and a Verandah cabin on a short 4-night Bahamas cruise isn’t too steep, at around $300-$400. However, for a 7-night cruise, that price difference increases to about $1,300. That’s a significant amount if you’re looking to invest in a private balcony and a bit more space for your family.
