The small price increase affects all guests starting January 23, 2025
Disney Cruise Line is known for its exceptional cruise ships, like the Disney Fantasy, and arguably some of the best stage shows at sea. However, the prices have always been on the higher side compared to other cruise lines. Well, Disney Cruise Line is about to get a little more expensive starting today.
Gratuities are increasing for every passenger onboard Disney Cruise Line. For non-Concierge guests, the recommended pre-paid gratuities are increasing by $1.50 per person, per day. This adjustment applies to gratuities for the Assistant Dining Room Server, Dining Room Server, and Stateroom Host/Hostess. The total recommended gratuity will now be $16.00 per person, per day.
For Concierge guests, the recommended increase is $3.75 per person, per day. In addition to the positions mentioned above, this also includes gratuities for the Assistant Stateroom Host/Hostess and the Concierge Lounge Team. The new recommended gratuity is $27.25 per person, per day.
Guests who have already pre-paid gratuities for an upcoming sailing will not see an increase to the new rates.
The new increase is, of course, a little disappointing, especially since it really adds up if you're taking a long cruise with your family. It’s also tough for international passengers from South America, as the dollar is at its highest level ever in those countries. Well, I guess we can let it go this time, but come on, Mickey… no more increases in 2025, please.
