Wow, the Disney Destiny news don’t stop coming, huh?
The newest bar unveiled for this Triton-class ship is called the Cask & Cannon. Inspired by Pirates of the Caribbean, guests are welcome to enter this pirate-themed bar and live like a pirate! This doesn’t mean you don’t have to shower to come here, friends, or that you need to be drunk to enter, nope. What I mean is that a great selection of specialty and vintage rums are offered and served straight from the barrel, in true pirate style.
There is a good chance that this will be an adults-only bar, similar to what the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge offers on the Disney Wish. Aboard the Wish, the Star Wars-themed lounge is open to everyone in the afternoon and becomes adults-only at 9pm. It’s likely that the Cask & Cannon will also turn into an adults-only bar at night, especially since it will feature TV screens showing sports events like football games. After all, pirates do love football!
What we’d love to see?
I’d love to see some special touches to add to the immersion. C’mon, Disney, make it more like an old time medieval tavern, with bards playing live music, poets and even some pirates telling lame jokes from time to time. How about Jack Sparrow mixing with the crowd sometimes? One thing I think that the Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge could do more is create more immersive events with their vast options for alien species, so I’d love to see something like that being introduced to a Pirates of the Caribbean bar.
