They have just achieved one million guests at Amber Cove, Dominican Republic, and Ensenada, Mexico, right before the end of 2023. With the Fun Cruises bustling with passengers from the Atlantic, Gulf Coast and California, Carnival played a key role in the destinations' successes!

In the last days of December, both locations received their one-millionth guest, celebrating with special passengers and local dignitaries. You might be wondering who were the lucky winners and here in Famvia we have the answer.
The first one was the Collier family from Mardi Gras. On December 20, these people were present at Amber Cove, while the Andrus family on Carnival Radiance celebrated in Ensenada on December 27.
The president of Carnival Cruise Line, Christine Duffy, expressed her happiness by saying “No one does fun like the carnival and no cruise lines drives demands like us! We are so excited our guests contributed to these distinctions for Amber Cove and Ensenada."
During 2015, Amber Cove on the Dominican Republic’s northern coast welcomed its first carnival ship, operated by Carnival Corporation & plc. It offered a pool, bars, and diverse excursions.
Dominican Republic's minister, David Collado, celebrated the unstoppable growth of Puerto Plata, thanking Amber Cove for reaching one million cruise visitors because, of course, they couldn’t be happier. Tourism is good, people!
It’s clear that Carnival's commitment continues with the addition of the NEW CARNIVAL FIRENZE, launching in 2024. This one is sailing from Long Beach, and will expand options with four-day cruises to Catalina Island and Ensenada, as well as a five-day Mexican Riviera cruise.
