Welcome to our dining guide for Sandals Royal Curaçao! Let me tell you right away that you should be smiling as you read about all we have to share. Are you smiling now? I’ll wait. All good?
Nice.
You should definitely smile, by the way, because Royal Curaçao features some of the best restaurants across all Sandals resorts. Curaçao is part of the strategy known as Sandals 2.0, which focuses on innovation in several areas, including dining. They have done an incredible job, by the way! Sandals Royal Curaçao has eight restaurants, most of which are completely new to the brand and receive excellent reviews from guests worldwide. We all love eating well while on vacation, so it’s great news that Royal Curaçao excels in this area.
Remember, you can always contact us for more information about Sandals, so make sure to click that Request a Quote button! Reaching out is completely free, and even better, you won’t pay anything extra when one of our travel advisors books your trip. In fact, we might even have access to exclusive offers that can save you money in the end!
Royal Curaçao offers a good variety of amazing restaurants for you to try. One of them is Gatsu Gatsu, a sushi bar that is similar to the Soy Sushi Bar found at several Sandals locations but manages to be even better. You can also enjoy steak and seafood at Butch’s Island Chop House or savor unique Latin cuisine at Zuka. While eight restaurants might not seem like a lot, when four or five of them are great, you can’t complain too much.

If you’re staying in a Butler Elite Suite, you can also ask your butler to handle this for you, or you can contact Famvia so we can assist you.

Dining Types to Sandals Royal Curaçao

At Sandals Royal Curaçao, you'll find plenty of options, whether you’re in the mood for a juicy steak, a good gnocchi or penne at Pietra, or all the sushi you can eat at Gatsu Gatsu.
Just a heads-up: if you have any allergies, be sure to inform the front desk upon arrival so meals can be prepared with your health in mind.
Are there Quick-service restaurants at Sandals Royal Curaçao?
Yes! The main quick-service restaurant is Kanaal, a café located in the central area near the main infinity pool. According to Sandals, this spot offers “premium coffee, along with pastries, desserts, and made-to-order Dutch sweets like stroopwafels and puffertjes.”
There are also three food trucks scattered around the property where you can grab a quick bite. These food trucks typically serve traditional Curaçao food, Spanish tapas, and Asian fusion cuisine. These food trucks are usually open from 11:00am to 7:00pm.
What do you wear to dinner in Sandals Royal Curaçao?
Many guests often wonder what to wear for dinner. ‘Do I need to dress up? Should I bring a fancy dress or the tuxedo I wore to my high school prom?’ Relax, friends. As of now, only one restaurant requires Resort Evening Attire:
- Vincent
According to Sandals, Resort Evening Attire means “Dress pants or jeans for men, long or short sleeve dress shirts (with or without collar). Dress shoes or sandals. No shorts, t-shirts, sleeveless shirts, sneakers, flip flops or slippers. No hats.”
All other restaurants follow a Resort Casual dress code, so you can enjoy your meal in shorts and a t-shirt.

The Best Restaurants at Sandals Royal Curaçao
Gatsu Gatsu

- Type: Resort casual, sushi, sit-down, dinner.
- Hours: 6:30pm-9:30pm
- Check out the Menu
Sushi!? For free!? Sign me up. Sure, Sushi restaurants aren’t new at Sandals, but Gatsu Gatsu is exclusive to Sandals Saint Vincent and Sandals Royal Curaçao. Better yet, it’s often considered the best sushi restaurant in the entire resort chain. Gatsu Gatsu offers more than just traditional sushi. You can also enjoy temakis, champagne lobster rolls, and a variety of ramen bowls. Portions may be small, but since everything is included, you can order as much as you like. This is definitely a must-visit for fans of Japanese cuisine.
Zuka

- Type: Resort casual, latin cuisine, sit-down, dinner.
- Hours: 6:00pm-9:30pm
- Check out the Menu
Zuka offers a unique menu inspired by the finest cuisine from South and Central America. The Surf & Turf frequently receives outstanding reviews, with some guests claiming it’s the best steak they’ve ever had at Sandals, even surpassing Butch’s Steakhouse. This restaurant also features the classic Brazilian dish called feijoada, which I give two thumbs up as someone born in Rio de Janeiro. They also offer a variety of ceviches as appetizers, a popular dish from Peru. Yes, you really get to enjoy a wide range of different and unique dishes from Latin America!
Vincent

- Type: Resort Evening Attire, modern european, reservation required, sit-down, dinner.
- Hours: 6:00pm-9:30pm
- Check out the Menu
Vincent is likely the most romantic restaurant in the entire resort. It requires both a reservation and Resort Evening Attire, so be sure to pack your favorite collared shirt or dress for this occasion. The cuisine is described as “Modern European”, and I’m also not sure what that means. Well, I finally found out, “Modern European” means “good food”. They offer some delicious dishes, including roasted duck, a beef tenderloin that rivals the one at Butch’s, and escargots as an appetizer. The staff at Vincent also receives excellent reviews, with waiters and chefs always doing their best so you have an amazing time with the love of your life.
Butch’s Island Chop House

- Type: Resort Casual, steakhouse & seafood, reservation required, sit-down, breakfast, dinner.
- Hours: 8:00am-11:00am; 6:00pm-9:30pm

Butch’s Island Chop House is making waves at Sandals, featured in some of the newest Sandals resorts, such as Sandals Saint Vincent, Sandals Barbados and also Sandals Royal Curaçao. It's considered one of the best steakhouses at beach resorts, which is an impressive feat given that everything here is complimentary. Just make a reservation in advance, and you’ll be ready to enjoy ribs, lamb chops, T-bones, and more.
