Sandals Royal Caribbean offers three different room types:
- Sandals Luxury (the budget option)
- Club Sandals (the concierge option)
- Butler Elite (the luxurious option with a private butler)
Sandals Royal Caribbean is known for:
- Offering affordable rooms starting at $240 per guest, per night
- Offering luxurious Overwater Villas, starting at $1,800 per guest, per night
One great feature of this resort is the wide variety of room options available to suit any budget. Options range from simple Luxury Rooms starting at $240 per night to exclusive Overwater Villas, which include a private swimming pool and cost $2,700 per night.

Rooms at Sandals Royal Caribbean tend to be straightforward and simple in design, and no Club Level room offers access to a semi-private pool. In fact, the first room to feature a swim-up pool is the “Walkout Swim-up Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Butler Suite,” starting at $350 per guest, per night.
Keep in mind that Sandals Royal Caribbean is divided into two areas: the mainland and the private island. The Overwater Villas are located on the private island in a secluded, quiet setting. All other rooms are on the mainland, near the main private pool and most of the restaurants.
Now, let’s look at the starting prices for a couple spending one week at Sandals Royal Caribbean.
There are two key takeaways from the simulation above. First, it really pays to book your trip as early as possible. For example, a Luxury Room in December - which offers great weather for travel - is priced at just $4,600, over two thousand dollars less than in the peak season of February.
Second, Butler Elite Suites are often a better value at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Surprisingly, butler suites are frequently cheaper than Club Sandals rooms! This might be due to high demand for Club Sandals rooms or a limited number of Club Sandals rooms (there are 14 different Butler Elite Suites and only 6 Club Sandals, by the way), but I’d definitely prefer to pay less for a room that comes with more perks.
Room Levels
Sandals Luxury

Good for: you are on a budget; you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in your room.
Price range: typically starting from $240 per guest/per night.
The name Sandals Luxury might be a bit misleading, as these are actually the budget-friendly rooms at the resort. Sandals Royal Caribbean offers a total of seven Sandals Luxury Rooms, with prices starting at $240.
I particularly like the least expensive room, called the “Caribbean Poolside Luxury with Balcony Tranquility Soaking Tub.” It includes a cozy balcony and a soaking tub, perfect for a relaxing bath in style. This is a nice touch, especially since the cheapest rooms at most Sandals resorts don’t typically include a soaking tub.
Club Sandals

Good for: you want a bit more luxury, you like the concierge perks offered.
Price range: typically starting from $340 per guest/per night.
The mid-term rooms for Sandals Royal Caribbean, which is actually quite luxurious. These rooms give you access to the Concierge perks, which include:
The Concierge Lounge: think of this one like those fancy airport lounges for first-class passengers. You get access to a place to relax, drink coffee, have a beer, and just enjoy your time. You can also check-in here and be directed to your room by a dedicated staff member.
Plush bathrobes: now you can feel all cozy when leaving the shower.
Special In-room bar: you have access to soda, wine, beer, juice, water, liqueur and can request specific alcoholic beverages.
…and more perks, like access to a weekly party to concierge members, special treats during your birthday, check out with a concierge agent and the list goes on.
Club Sandals rooms are very popular at Sandals Resorts, and the same is true at Sandals Royal Caribbean. These rooms tend to sell out quickly, likely because there are only six categories of Club Sandals rooms compared to seven Luxury Rooms and fourteen Suites. As shown in our simulation at the beginning of the guide, Club Sandals rooms are often more expensive than Butler Elite Suites, so pay attention to prices when booking. Or, you know, feel free to contact us, and let Famvia find the best price for you!
I’m not entirely sure if Club Sandals rooms are worth it at Sandals Royal Caribbean. Prices for these rooms can be quite high depending on the season, and they don’t come with any exclusive amenities that make them an obvious choice. None of the Club Sandals rooms include a swim-up or private pool. Some do have a private soaking tub, but even certain Luxury Rooms offer that as well.
I’d only consider booking a Club Sandals room if you’re looking for something a bit larger than the Sandals Luxury rooms and if you’re saving a significant amount compared to the Butler Elite Suites.
Butler Elite Suites

Good for: you want luxury; you want someone to make reservations for you and bring meals to your room; you don’t mind paying more for top-tier quality rooms; you want to stay in an Overwater Villa.
Price range: typically starting from $350 per guest/per night.
This is it, this is for guests that want top-mega-ultra luxury and enjoy their vacation at the fullest. The Butler Elite package offers a plethora of perks. You'll enjoy specialized room service and have a dedicated butler at your service, handling reservations, delivering breakfast to your bed, scheduling appointments, and much more. Some Butler Suites also offer swim-up pools that serve 2-3 rooms only, and some rooms come with a private pool for you only.
Now, you might wonder, are Butler Elite rooms worth it? We have written a special article on Butlers & Sandals, which also applies to Beaches Resorts. You can read it and draw your own conclusion. Ultimately, it all depends on your personal preferences, budget, and how much you intend to utilize the services of your butler.
Butler Elite suites are a very good option if you manage to book early to save some money. Some of these suites come with full living rooms and have a private swimming pool right outside their door, giving guests more luxury and privacy. Your personal bar is stocked with premium liqueurs and sparkling wines, and your butler can accommodate most alcoholic beverage requests.
Sandals Royal Caribbean offers a total of fourteen different Butler Elite Suites, which can be some of the best choices for your vacation. As shown in our simulation at the beginning of this guide, Butler Elite Suites are often less expensive than Club Sandals rooms… which doesn’t quite make sense, but it’s a nice surprise! However, the most affordable Butler Elite Suites don’t include many special amenities, aside from a private soaking tub.

I like the “Walkout Swim up Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Butler Suite” (pictured above) that comes with a swim-up pool, and has a starting price of $350 per guest, per night.

You might also be interested in the Overwater Villas, which are cozy cottages set in the middle of the ocean on Sandals Island (pictured above). These villas come in two distinct categories: the “Over-the-Water Private Island Butler Honeymoon Bungalow” (starting at $1,800) and the “Over-the-Water Private Island Butler Villa with Infinity Pool” (starting at $2,400). Both options include VIP airport service with expedited immigration and private transfers to and from the airport. While they’re not inexpensive, these are among the finest accommodations across all Sandals resorts.
