Room Options at Beaches Negril

Beaches Negril isn’t as huge as something like Beaches Turks & Caicos, but it also isn’t as small as Beaches Ocho Rios. Let’s say it’s the middle ground, and you might need to walk a little to reach your favorite restaurant or the waterpark, depending on where you are located.

There are three different Villages in Beaches Negril: Island Village, Reggaeville and Calypso Cove. Each Village has their very own buildings, which are the Santa Cruz buildings, the Savannah buildings and Montpelier buildings.

Honestly, it’s a little more confusing than needed, but don’t worry: at the end of the day, Villages don’t matter that much. They are mostly about where you want to be located and nothing else. You can always walk around, and there will be at least one cool thing next to where you are. When we are talking about plain luxury and what’s at your disposal in your room, Room Levels are way more important. Those are divided into luxury, concierge and butler suites.

The Savannah & Santa Cruz buildings typically offer the most affordable room options. The Santa Cruz buildings are located on the western side of the resort and a bit on the back, while the Savannah buildings are located in “the middle” of the resort, next to the main swimming pools and the main lobby. The Montpelier buildings in the Calypso Village tend to offer the most expensive rooms, located on the eastern side of the resort which is also more peaceful.

Certain room categories offer the popular butler service, an excellent option for guests who desire assistance with restaurant reservations, in-room dining, and, notably, securing a cabana by the pool at the beginning of the day. It can be quite challenging to save a chair by the pool without a butler, as some guests resort to waking up super early and using a towel or leaving personal items to reserve a spot. Bummer.

Prices will vary a lot, from the Village you choose all the way to Room Levels, the exact day of your visit and more. The best tip I can give is to put as many guests as possible inside your room, since this will lower the overall price.

Let’s do the math. Two adults in a Tropical Oceanview Concierge Double room in early February 2025 will pay around $650 per person, per night. This price goes down to $360 per person, per night, if you manage to put four adults in the same room during your stay, which is a great way to share expenses. More people = less money spent. If you need more people, always remember to invite your mother-in-law.

Let’s take a look at the different Villages and buildings. Remember, prices are per guest, per night:

Savannah & Santa Cruz buildings

These are the most affordable rooms in the resort, with prices starting at $250. These rooms typically offer views of the garden and are situated at the rear of the resort, without direct views of the beach. A great option for small families of four that want to save a bit of money.

The Santa Cruz buildings are located on the western side of the resort, while the Savannah buildings are located in the center, near swimming pools and most of the restaurants. The basketball court is near this corner of the resort, as well as some popular restaurants like Kimonos and Bar B Q Park.

Montpelier buildings

Here you find most of the butler elite rooms, but there are also options that don’t cost a lot. You can even find a Negril Luxury Double room for 4 guests with a starting price of $260. Again, Villages and buildings in Beaches Negril don’t tend to have that much of an affect on price.

The Montpelier buildings are located on the eastern side of the resort in a spot that is quieter and more peaceful. Yako, the popular Peruvian restaurant, is located near the Montpelier buildings, as well as the Wedding Lounge.

Room Levels

Now we are talking! Each building comes with rooms that have their very own category levels. They are the Beaches Luxury, Beaches Concierge and Beaches Butler Elite, and that’s the main thing you need to look out for when booking a room at Beaches Negril.

Beaches Luxury

  • Good for: you are on a budget, you don’t plan to spend a lot of time in your room, you are traveling with a small party.
  • Price range: typically starting from $260 to $350 per guest/per night depending on your room
  • Max. occupancy: from 4 to 7 guests

The name can be a bit misleading, as the Beaches Luxury is actually the budget option at the resort. There are only 5 different Beach Luxury room options at Beaches Negril, with rooms from 3 to 7 guests. They’re the perfect choice if you want to save some money and you are traveling with a small party of three or four.

All Luxury rooms at Beaches Negril include complimentary Wi-Fi, a stocked mini-bar with water, juice, soda, wine, and local beer (upon request), and free airport transfers. You have the option to choose a room with direct patio access on the ground floor or select a room on the second or third floor. Most rooms offer views of the gardens, with partial ocean views available in some.

Beaches Concierge

  • Good for: bigger parties of 5 or more guests, you want a bit more luxury, you like the Concierge perks offered.
  • Price range: typically starting from $280 to $700 per guest/per night depending on your room
  • Max. occupancy: from 4 all the way to 9 guests

The mid-term rooms for Beaches Resort, which is actually quite luxurious. These rooms give you access to the Concierge perks, which include:

The Concierge Lounge: think of this one like those fancy airport lounges for first-class passengers. You get access to a place to relax, drink coffee, have a beer, and just enjoy your time. You can also check-in here and be directed to your room by a dedicated staff member.

Plush bathrobes: now you can feel all cozy when leaving the shower.

Special In-room bar: you have access to soda, wine, beer, juice, water, liqueur and can request specific alcoholic beverages.

…and more perks, like access to a weekly party to concierge members, special treats during your birthday, check out with a concierge agent and the list goes on.

The concierge rooms are a great option in Beaches Negril. They aren’t that much more expensive than the Beaches Luxury, and there are 14 options for you to choose from, up from the 5 offered in the Luxury Level. Sometimes you can even find a great Concierge room that is cheaper than a Luxury Room!

The price ranges can fluctuate significantly depending on the season you're visiting. Be sure to book your room early! Concierge suites tend to sell out quickly in Negril, with some already booked all the way to March 2025. Feel free to contact us at any time for assistance in selecting the best options.

Butler Elite

  • Good for: you want luxury; you want someone to make reservations for you and bring meals to your room; you don’t mind paying more for top-tier quality rooms.
  • Price range: typically starting from $600 to $2000 per guest/per night depending on your room
  • Max. occupancy: from 8 all the way to 18 guests. Yeah, that’s a lot of people.

This is it, this is for guests that want top-mega-ultra luxury and enjoy their vacation at the fullest. The Butler Elite package offers a plethora of perks. You'll enjoy specialized room service and have a dedicated butler at your service, handling reservations, delivering breakfast to your bed, scheduling appointments, and much more. Additionally, some Butler Penthouses offer VIP airport transfer services to whisk you directly to the resort in a SUV.

Now, you might wonder, are Butler Elite rooms worth it? We have written a special article on Butlers & Sandals, which also applies to Beaches Resorts. You can read it and draw your own conclusion. Ultimately, it all depends on your personal preferences, budget, and how much you intend to utilize the services of your butler.

Butler Elite suites are big, even more so in Beaches Negril. These suites are designed to accommodate 8 to 18 guests and are often located in front of the beach. They come with full living rooms, dining rooms and a kitchen, making them perfect for big groups or guests that want more luxury and privacy. Your personal bar is stocked with premium liqueurs and sparkling wines, and your butler can accommodate most alcoholic beverage requests.

Now the most important thing: prices! As expected, these are the most luxurious and consequently, the most expensive rooms in the entire resort. I only recommend a Butler Suite in Beaches Negril if you can really fill your room with guests, which might be hard on some occasions. I mean, a room for 18 guests!? Phew. Still, you can lower the price a lot in some cases.

For example, let’s consider the Tropical Oceanview Two-Bedroom Grand Butler Family Suite, designed to accommodate 8 guests in early September 2024. Two adults and two children would pay around $550 per guest, per night. However, this price decreases to about $320 per guest, per night if there are four adults and four children in the suite. As you can see, a lot of variables interfere in the final price!

Just a heads up: much like Concierge suites, Butler Suites sell out very quickly at Beaches Negril. The example above took a while to research, as the only Butler Room for 8 guests is almost always sold out. Make sure to book in advance if you want to experience the Butler Elite suite.
