The fourth Beaches Resort is coming in 2025
Here’s something many people might not know yet: Beaches is adding a fourth resort in 2024! Sandals Emerald Bay is currently being transformed into Beaches Exuma, set to welcome families from around the globe.
The resort is scheduled to open in late 2025, featuring smart upgrades to make it even more family-friendly. While details and surprises are still under wraps, Beaches has already teased a few exciting features we can look forward to seeing there.
New things coming to Beaches Exuma!
Sandals is all about adults-only vacations, while Beaches focuses on welcoming families and kids. With that in mind, the Pirate Island Waterpark is set to debut alongside Beaches Exuma later this year. This signature feature of every Beaches resort includes swimming pools, waterslides, splash zones, and, at some locations, a lazy river. While the Pirate Island Waterpark isn’t known for being super big, it’s still a fun spot for families to enjoy, cool off, and soak up the sun.
Sesame Street characters are also expected to make appearances around Exuma. Have you always wanted to take a picture with Elmo? Now you can make that dream come true, while soaking up the sun and sipping on a piña colada!
What else do we know about Beaches Exuma?
We do know that Beaches Exuma is just 15 minutes away from the airport, which is great news for those that want to experience the resort as soon as possible.
There’s also a golf course located just 1.1 miles from the resort! A free shuttle will likely be provided. My golf knowledge is pretty limited - I do know you use a club to hit the small balls - but the course consistently receives positive reviews online, even though some holes are said to be quite challenging.
The beach is truly beautiful, though it can get a bit windy at times. The name “Sandals Emerald Bay” was inspired by the vibrant emerald color of the water, which is always a good sign. The beach consistently receives high praise from guests, so Beaches Exuma is likely to become a fantastic destination for those who love soft sand and crystal-clear waters.
We are also expected to see new rooms, suites and restaurants, but nothing has been announced so far.
