A Winter Wonderland at Disneyland Paris
January is making its presence felt this winter in Disneyland Paris. Guests witnessed a spectacle that left everyone speechless and wanting to get a comfy blanket instead of getting on rides!
This unexpected snowfall was the first one of the year in Paris. White snow covered the iconic Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant (Sleeping Beauty Castle) and extended throughout the resort.
It would be okay to think that you'd see a lot of snow in winter but, when it comes to Disneyland Paris, the average is of just three days of snow each year with some years experiencing almost no snowfall AT ALL!
Well, maybe Elsa decided to pay Paris a visit and bought snow with her. This is one of the most iconic experiences you could have that only happens a few times in the entire year.
These pictures were captured by a Disney cast member after an overnight snowfall, where we can see attractions like Big Thunder Mountain, Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain, Phantom Manor, and other ones that turned into a winter piece of art.
Why is it so special?
Besides the amazing landscapes that remind us of Arendelle, what makes this snowy day even more magical is its timing. It happened just days before the highly anticipated reopening of the world-renowned Disneyland Hotel at Disneyland Paris on January 25th.
A bunch of Disney's fairy tales, including some fan favorites like "Cinderella" and "Sleeping Beauty", inspire the decorations that can be seen all around the hotel.
