Four Disneyland cast members, namely Amber Whittington, Cullen Darius, Erick Rivera, and Shelby Hull, are the ones who will participate in the extraordinary journey as Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Park nears its grand opening.
Recently, in the heart of New Orleans Square, these individuals received fantastic news: they were HANDPICKED as the inaugural project leads for the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure test & adjust team. Congrats, guys!
This prestigious opportunity will place them at the forefront of Disney’s time-honored tradition, where cast members apply to participate in specialized teams with testing attractions before the official launch. It’s a unique chance for attraction cast members to collaborate with Walt Disney Imagineering during the initial testing phase, contributing to the refinement of the guest experience that Disney always provides us.
The revelation happened unexpectedly for the cast members, who were led to Tiana’s Palace restaurant under the lie of an early morning video shoot. Then from behind closed doors, Jada Young, Disney Ambassador of Disneyland Resort, revealed their encounter's true purpose.
With cheers, applause, and a few tears, emotions filled the air in New Orleans Square. Cullen, an Adventureland attractions cast member, expressed, “Having the opportunity to open up an attraction is an absolute dream come true.” The morning was filled with surprises, including a visit from Princess Tiana, extending her congratulations and warm welcome to the bayou.
Guests will be swept away on a musical adventure, joining the narrative from Walt Disney Animation Studios' "The Princess and the Frog." They'll journey alongside Princess Tiana and her friend Louis the Alligator through the beautiful bayou. Expect to encounter familiar faces and new characters, accompanied by original music and iconic tunes from the film. Tiana's Bayou Adventure will launch this Summer in Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
