Did you know about this tradition?
The Rose Bowl is a traditional American college football game that happens every year, and did you know that it has a relation with Disneyland, when the parks opened its doors to Michigan State and UCLA in 1955?
Even when it’s not a relationship you expect to see, this one is real. The Happiest Place on Earth and the Tournament of Roses has even gotten better, marked by amazing moments like Walt Disney himself serving as the Grand Marshal of the Tournament of Roses Parade in 1966.
Disney already has plans for 2024
The excitement is already here for the College Football Playoff semifinal on January 1st, 2024. Michigan and Alabama continued the tradition with a stop at Disneyland!

The game will feature players like Mike Sainristil, Kris Jenkins, and Blake Corum, who were seen marching down Main Street, U.S.A. in decorated carriages. Alabama’s head coach Nick Saban was also spotted with players Jalen Milroe, Dallas Turner, and Malachi Moore, who also joined in the festive procession.

The procession also included new appearances by the 2024 President of The Tournament of Roses, Alex P. Aghajanian, and the 2024 Rose Queen Naomi Stilitano, and the Royal Court. Wondering if any music was playing? Well, the ones in charge of the music were the Pasadena City College Tournament of Roses Honor Band, and they did a great job.

Disneyland is the host of more than just a parade, because members of both teams enjoyed a ride aboard the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad and captured funny memories with a photo group picture in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Winter Castle, with none other than Mickey Mouse!

Expectations!
The 110th Rose Bowl game is expected to be a historic game, so remember to tune on ESPN on January 1st, 2024 at 2:00 pm PT to witness the excitement with a little bit of Magic. It's not just a game, it's a tradition, a show, and a journey filled with a bit of Disney touch!
