It's time for a funtastic adventure!
Easter Season has arrived at the Happiest Place on Earth, and we cannot contain the excitement of this magical opportunity. As you may know, Disney loves to come up with genius events, shows, festivals, and activities that make every season feel extra unique and memorable.
Springtime is no exception. We have seen it at EPCOT with the International Flower & Garden Festival, and the magic had to come all the way to Disneyland, where a fun adventure is waiting for you. Let’s take a look!
I spy with my little eye... a magical egg!
Do you know where the Easter egg activity comes from? Neither do we. But according to Google, it's some kind of mix between old pagan celebrations (honoring life and fertility) and Christian Easter celebrations. And bam, this joyful activity arrived in North America and has become part of many families’ springtime traditions.
Interesting, right? But it's more interesting seeing how every family makes their very own version of this event. Disney has to try to give it a magical twist as well. That’s how a special event comes to life at Disneyland, one of our favorite places to have a good time.
We are talking about Eggstravaganza, and this year's edition is coming in strong! Let’s see some important details about it.

When is it celebrated?
Guests can participate in this fun event from March 11th to April 9th, 2024.
What to expect?
When participating in the magical egg hunt, guests will have to search in every nook and cranny for the Disney characters-inspired eggs. They can be EVERYWHERE! A Minnie egg on the mat. Donald could be on a window. Literally search every corner for this fun event.
Hey, don’t fret, Disney will equip you with everything you need for this adventure, okay?
What do I have to do?
- First, we need a guide. This is handed through a map and stickers that can be bought for only $9.99 (plus taxes) at some merchandise locations.
- Search the magical eggs!
- When you are done, it's time to return the map and you will receive an “eggs-citing keepsake”. You don’t need to complete the entire quest to get yours, by the way,
And that’s all! Easy peasy, right? I think the hardest part is finding the eggs, of course....
