An upgraded Disneyland Hotel is now open for guests at Disneyland Paris, and Cast Member costumes have arrived to steal the show. These wonderful images seen throughout the article are a courtesy of Disney.
It's Paris Fashion Week at Disneyland...
...or does it feel like that with the brand new collection that is being debuted at this wonderful location?
Around twenty thousand pieces have been used to create a collection inspired by the royal theme that the Disneyland Hotel is based on. Disney Princes and Princesses needed to be studied in detail for the designers to come out with a beautiful collection that truly resembles the magic of every Disney fairy tale.

According to Disneyland designers, they also took inspiration from the medieval era trying to recreate the exact patterns, use similar materials, and be careful about every detailed that makes up the entire costume. Not even Cinderella’s birds can match up these skills, don’t you think?

How did it come to life?
Okay, in real life not everything pops up out of nowhere. A Fairy Godmother didn't come out of nowhere when we needed her the most to create this wonderful collection from scratch. Sad news, I know.

The process behind this masterpiece requires hours and hours of work, and the genius and expertise craft of many professionals.
Starting with the clever collaboration between Disney and Société Dutel, which is a fabric manufacturer that assisted in the design of the new wardrobe for every Cast Member at the Disneyland Hotel.

The Managing Director behind the manufacturer, Jean-Christophe Dutel, expressed her excitement that the work she produced at Société Dutel will be displayed by Cast Members at Disneyland Hotel. Definitely something to be proud of!

The success of this special collaboration can be confirmed by Karine Soares, a great Fashion Designer for our beloved Disneyland Paris, who expresses that “Mr. Dutel’s expertise in materials and his knowledge of the unique needs of our destination were essential in adapting the materials, while preserving their initial appearance, enabling us to produce costumes that are both beautiful and elegant, but also comfortable and long-lasting.”

As a final touch, the Fleur de Lys jewels were the cherry on top of these costumes. They truly made the difference and Karine couldn’t be more proud of them, everyone certainly loved the details, including us!
