As they say, good food puts us in a good mood!
That’s why, aside from attractions and hotels, Disney also offers the best of the best restaurants that guests of all ages can enjoy. May it be casual dining, fine dining, character dining, or counter service! Awesome, right?
However, there’ll be a slight change in 2024 that could affect reservations, since The Disney Dining Plan will be returning on January 9th, 2024. This is a prepaid meal package that guests of Disney World hotels can buy to receive food discounts of up to 30%.
But here are some facts and complicated stuff: you will get credits that depend on your dining plan. For example, if you happen to purchase the Standard Dining Plan, you’ll get one table service meal per day, which can give you one credit per day. However, there are some restaurants, especially those expensive ones, that require two table service credits. Yeah, that's not as fun but, hey, there are still a few restaurants that are in the expensive price range but only require one credit for you to save money.
It’s such a good deal that a lot of people want to dine in these two restaurants as well, making it hard to secure or book a reservation by next year.
Here are the two restaurants that we are talking about:
Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
Good days start with breakfast!

That’s why having breakfast with the princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in EPCOT is worth it, despite its price of $55 per adult and $35 per child. You wouldn’t only be able to enjoy waffles, sausages, scrambled eggs, mixed fruits, potato casserole, and bacon; you would also feel like one of the Disney princesses. Plus, it only requires one table service credit, despite its expensive menu. So, yeah, your reservation and dining plan will be worth it.
Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya
It’s what’s on the inside that counts…

That’s why Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya in EPCOT makes all guests savor the inside of their special tuna, salmon, octopus, tamago, and sweet shrimp sushi! Although the price here is not considered cheap, you only need a one-table service credit, plus their food is yummy, so it’s still pretty worth it.
Hence, some are looking forward to eating at this Japanese restaurant, so you better up your game when booking a reservation. Sixty days in advance sounds like a good choice so you can secure a spot here.
