Japan can be found inside Disney World
That’s right. Did you know you can visit different countries from just one spot? The World Showcase at EPCOT allows guests to live this experience where there are a variety of countries' references, stores and rides in one place.
From Mexico to Italy, Morocco and Japan, all these countries are featured with delicious restaurants and incredible dishes that will make you feel as if you are visiting that specific country but with a snap of the Disney Magic.
One of our favorite spots is the Asian side, and there has been a restaurant that stole our hearts from the very first moment. Let us introduce you to Teppan Edo. If you want to experience a live culinary display, plus enjoy mouthwatering dishes, then this is the right place for you.
What to expect?
From the moment you set foot inside, the decoration and aesthetic of the restaurant will automatically transport you into a traditional Japanese atmosphere. The atmosphere is great, from the walls to the tables and the Teppan chefs who are right at your table cooking for you! What an experience!
Guests get to select for lunch or dinner their protein, vegetables, rice or noodles, and more… Anything they wish can be cooked super fast thanks to the Teppan-yaki-style cooking that the chefs mastered so well. It's fair to say sushi rolls are a must when visiting Teppan!
Your taste buds will have a party of their own after the first bite!
Menu specialties available
- Spicy Roll (expect a delicious mix of tuna and salmon, some cucumber accompanied by a volcano sauce)
- Sushi Sampler (expect a great roll combo; spicy, California, and nigiri)
- Volcano Roll (expect some shrimp, scallops, volcano sauces, and grilled California roll), and many more sushi options.
- Asakusa (expect a garden salad that accompanies the steak and shrimp, plus some vegetables, udon noodles, and white rice (steamed))
- Yuzu Cheesecake
- Alcoholic beverages (for +21 guests) such as Sake, wines, beers, Japanese whiskey, and cocktails.
- Non-alcoholic beverages such as Ramune, Ichigo Colada, or Yuzu lemonade.
This is just a sneak peek of the many options that this wonderful place has to offer. Prices may vary depending on the dish, but could go up to $120 for a premium Entree as is the Japanese Wagyu Strip.
