The Main Stores at Animal Kingdom
Island Mercantile
Every Disney park has what we call the “main store,” and Island Mercantile is that store for Animal Kingdom. Located near the entrance, it offers a wide variety of merchandise inspired by the theme park, including t-shirts, mugs, Mickey earbands, pins, backpacks, Loungefly backpacks, and much more. In 2025, you’ll also find gear related to Up, Finding Nemo, Coco, and Big Hero 6. There’s also a large collection of plush toys, especially those related to The Lion King.
Discovery Trading Company
This is a more upscale store at Animal Kingdom, offering a variety of collectibles and unique items. You’ll find purses, mini plush toys for $19.99, and even some jewelry. The store also features a wide selection of pins and gifts for those looking to bring home a souvenir from Animal Kingdom.
Mombasa marketplace
This store features a variety of gifts inspired by African culture, ranging from musical instruments for kids to The Lion King merchandise (including occasional The Lion King art pieces for $1,000). If you’re a fan of Simba, Mufasa, and the rest of the pride, this store is a must-visit. They also offer a wide selection of baby plush toys featuring animals like elephants, giraffes, lions, and more, each priced at $39.99. The store occasionally carries Black Panther merchandise, including outfits, masks, t-shirts, and earbands.
Windtraders
Windtraders is the main shop in the World of Pandora, offering a wide variety of Avatar-inspired gear, from t-shirts to Banshee toys. If you've seen something cool in the movies, chances are you’ll find it here in toy form, whether it’s a bow and arrow, spears used by the Na'vi, binoculars for young explorers, hair ties, or remote-controlled creatures from Pandora (like birds for $89.99). The shop also features art pieces, statues, and much more. You can even create your very own Na'vi necklace from a selection of jewels for $19.99.
