The Holiday Season is not only a time for awesome parties, gift exchanges, shopping, or going out on vacation, but it is a great opportunity to do something good for the whole community.
There is nothing bad about prioritizing personal activities during this special time, but it is important to keep in mind that this is also the best season to share what we have or what can do with others, especially the most vulnerable sectors of our society.
Disney embraces the Holiday's Spirit!
As part of Disney’s commitment to make a positive impact on numerous vulnerable communities, Disney distributed over 1,000 Thanksgiving meals that were cooked at Walt Disney World Resort kitchens with the support of the culinary team that has continued this tradition since 25 years ago.
The meals were served by VoluntEARS on Thanksgiving day at the Coalition for the Homeless and Harbor House of Central Florida.
Going for the extra mile
To bring even more of Disney’s magic that characterizes VoluntEARS, they spent the rest of the day having a warmful time of sweat-treat decorations with families at the Youth Center.
Disney has always stood out for celebrating different activities throughout Orange County and with the support of nonprofit organizations during this holiday season. So many thoughtful actions that help to the community, way to go, Mickey!
