Disney Dreamlight Valley has just launched on December 5th, 2023! Previously available in Early Access on Steam, the game has finally come out on the Nintendo Switch, Playstation and Xbox platforms.
A collaboration between Disney and Gameloft, the game is a big mix between Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley and The Sims, where you can meet and help your favorite Disney characters across Dreamlight Valley.
With the official launch of the game, we are here to tell you that there are eight free content updates now available and also a new paid expansion called A Rift in Time, where you can meet (and maybe fight?) Jafar.
We have listed ten highlights to look forward to as we celebrate the launch of the game!
1. Welcome The Pumpkin King
Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King from "Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas," is now part of Dreamlight Valley.
2. Visit Your Friends With Multiplayer
Explore your friend's world with the new multiplayer feature. Host up to three friends, trade resources, enter each other's homes, and discover the unique decorations in their biomes.
3. Brand-New Storyline
Embark on a new adventure with the paid expansion, "A Rift in Time" set in Eternity Isle. Gameloft gave us the official description for the expansion, and here is just a quick overview:
Eternity Isle has become lost in time as a result of Jafar’s meddling in magic. Journey to this faraway land and utilize a mysterious new Royal Tool—the Hourglass—as you discover new secrets and uncover lost treasures. Stop Jafar’s scheme to steal the Spark of Imagination, an ancient relic that holds the fabric of Dreamlight Valley together.
4. Explore New Biomes
Discover Ancient Landing, Wild Tangle, and Glittering Dunes, each with its unique flora, fauna, and ingredients. Rebuild the marketplace in Ancient's Landing and add new locations for Chéz Remy, Scrooge’s Shop, and more.
5. Acquire A New Royal Tool
A new storyline introduces a Royal Tool to help clear the Mist, Time Rifts, and Swirling Sands covering the island, a result of Jafar's magical experiments.
6. Befriend A Little White Robot
Meet EVE, guarding the Royal Hourglass in Ancient Landing. Gain her trust to explore the island. Reunite EVE with WALL-E for brand new adventures.
7. Have The Best Day Ever With A Long-lost Princess
Encounter Rapunzel in the Wild Tangle, unlock Friendship Quests, and help her rediscover her passion for painting, earning rewards inspired by Disney’s "Tangled."
8. Rescue Gaston in the Glittering Dunes
Gaston can help you become more... heroic? Embark on Friendship Quests to learn heroics. Afterwards, add new decorations to your home!
9. Capybaras! Monkeys! And Cobra Snakes?
Explore new biomes and encounter capybaras, monkeys, and cobra snakes. Feed and befriend these adorable creatures in Ancient Landing, Wild Tangle, and Glittering Dunes.
Increase your daily tasks with new Ancient Machines, including the Timebending Table. Construct these machines using mysterious ancient relics to streamline activities like cooking and gardening.
