The Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser hotel may have closed down for good, but it has left a ton of fun memories on guests and fans from all over the world, especially those that dreamed of becoming a Jedi.
A short time ago, in a hotel not that far away...
The unconventional concept of this pseudo-hotel surely was a popular topic of conversation and caused quite a stir, huh?
Each guest could roleplay the life of a Star Wars character of their own, and hotel employees all played a character as well and had their own backstory. Bedrooms were small and created to resemble rooms you could find aboard galactic starships or a tavern lost in Tatooine.
So many Disney fans were left with some kind of bittersweet feeling. You probably loved the hotel for its uniqueness, maybe you hated it for how expensive it was or maybe you were just confused by its premise, but this peculiar hotel couldn’t have gone unnoticed. The experience was too unique to be forgotten that fast.

Jaw-dropping info!
Now, let's dive into the singular “things” that truly left fans astonished and had us reacting with a mix of shock and curiosity. I mean, what could we expect, it's Disney mixed with Star Wars creating an unique experience!
- Particular Hotel Concept
Disney fans were expecting a Star Wars-themed hotel, which caused a lot of expectations among the enthusiast fans.
However, as we already know, Disney is always surprising us and even giving us more than expected. They gave Disney fans a two-day "cruise" in space aboard The Halcyon, a structure designed to mimic a galactic ship, how cool right?
The immersive experience allowed fans to live out their Star Wars dreams, and with the concept being so out of this world it surely left many scratching their heads.
- Ouch… Budget in Orbit?
While fans expected the Galactic Starcruiser to be a premium experience and of course a once-in-a-lifetime experience, we did expect it to be expensive, but not that expensive.
For a shocking amount of $5000, you got covered with food, accommodations, a day at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and the full interactive experience. Expensive for sure, and many fans just couldn't afford it.
- Surprise Appearance By Grogu a.k.a. Baby Yoda:
That’s all it has to be said… Baby Yoda was in town! Ok, maybe $5000 for two people didn’t seem that bad huh? Just maybe.

Let's hope Disney will bring us very very soon something as extravagant and unique as this experience was, and with a more friendly budget too!
