I know, I know, all of us were expecting to see the EPCOT’s multi-year transformation ready by the end of the year... like right now! But let’s be realistic, with less than a month away before the year ends, it would only take a miracle for that to happen, and Disney just confirmed it.
Are we seeing a complete EPCOT transformation any time soon?
The excitement has been growing and growing each day with the expectation that sooner than later guests would be able to see the complete transformation of EPCOT. Unfortunately, we will have to contain that excitement a little bit more, because Disney has officially announced a delay in the CommuniCore Hall and Plaza opening date, being set for 2024 instead of late 2023 as it was initially planned.
A glimpse of what is yet to come
Disney has been giving us just small hints of what is yet to come like the Connections Cafe and Eatery, Creations Shop, the new Club Cool, and the most recent one, World Celebration Gardens. We have to admit it, this would be a great way to end 2023, but delays like that happen, so it's fine. Disney hasn’t yet announced the new opening date, opting to just push the full transformation to next year.
Patience, young Padawan
We understand that Disney's philosophy goes something like this “Go big or go home”, right? So we are pretty positive that the long-wait is going to be worth it, and the final product won’t disappoint us at all. I mean, it's Disney that we are talking about! It's better to wait a little bit more than seeing an incomplete transformation.
