“Welcome to The Great Wall of… EPCOT?” yes, guests might have noticed a bunch of planks and timber building up a maze of walls in the middle area of Epcot, which makes traversing the park a little more unconvenient than usual.
We all now, though, that when we see walls like that in Disney it must mean that construction workers are hard at work to bring us something new and innovative.
The end is just a new beginning
We are now, however, counting down the days to finally see the end product of the multi-year transformation that has been taking place at Epcot, and just before the year is over!
The last piece of the “puzzle” are the final touches taking place all over World Celebration, as Disney is ready to unveil the transformation ready to take place in EPCOT.
"It's been 84 years..."
A few years ago, Disney started the massive construction of different neighboring spaces for Epcot in a brand new update. We are talking about the introduction of World Discovery, World Nature, and the star of the show, called World Celebration.
Fans have been patiently waiting for the deadline to come around as soon as possible (yeah, sure, “patiently”), and it seems that we are finally reaching the final stage of this ambitious project before 2023 ends.
The long wait is coming to an end
A few months ago, Disney had mercy on us and announced that, in December 2023, the project will finally come to an end.
World Celebration will be the first space visitors may encounter when entering the park, and this one will be working as a bridge between the other two lands: World Discovery and World Nature.
Anticipation is in the air, and we are on the edge of excitement to see the innovative design that will come along with this new land.
New mindblowing features
According to Imagineer Zach Riddley, we can expect to see some futuristic features in the new complex, such as illuminated paving designs and some eye-catching elements that will be changing alongside the festivals or shows taking place inside the park. All these visual spectacles of light are going to play along with the iconic Spaceship Earth! We definitely cannot wait to finally see this visual feast.
Is finally here...
Even though we are less than a week away from December, we are sure Disney is more than ready for the official opening of this most awaited project, and so are we!
