    Closures taking place in 2024 at Disneyland

    The new year is coming at light speed. It feels like yesterday when we were doing the countdown to 2023, or when we were planning our summer vacation. It all went by so fast!

    At Disney, time is merely an illusion. Even if the year hasn’t finished yet, they have already planned the future of each theme park, attraction, hotel, and even snack booth. As Disney fans, we always have to be ready for the upcoming changes, like awesome new rides... but sometimes we also have to say goodbye to old favorites. 

    Attractions shutting down

    Take a look at the following list of your favorite shows and different attractions that are going to be shutting down next year:

    Disney California Adventure

    • Rogers: The Musical; is currently closed (lasted from June 30 to August 31, 2023) 
    • World of Color - One; is currently open ( it’ll be closed from January 8 to February 29, 2024) 
    • Beast’s Library; is currently open ( it’ll be permanently closed on December 11, 2023) you can see more information about what's coming next by clicking here.

    Disneyland Resort

    • Mark Twain Riverboat; is currently closed ( was open until September 16, 2023)
    • Fantasmic, Nighttime Spectacular; is currently closed ( will return on May 24, 2024)
    • Tale of the Lion King; is currently open ( it’ll be shutting down on January 7, 2024)
    • Astro Orbitor; is currently open (it´ll close down on November 27, 2023,) the reopening date is still unknown

    Stay tuned with the upcoming news about next year's changes, and try to visit your favorite attractions before they are temporarily or permanently closed.
